I already have a concrete slab and my roof comes out over the patio itself. The dimensions are about 12×10. I think all that I would need to do is enclose it. I live near Kansas City, MO.

She may do better growing her own veggies. Slick Willy could chase weeds rather than interns.

I bought some seed and just used a pie pan with a fist-sized rock in it to keep the pan from blowing away. My wife did hear a little chirping/singing whatever outside (I put it on the step to our deck). But it’s a pain because if it rains or snows I have to bring it in to keep it from getting soaked.
Today I bought a metal tube with holes in it you fill with seed, so I filled that tonight and hung it on a hook we use for a wind chime in the summer.
We don’t seem to have a whole lot of birds around here, but was hoping to attract them just to watch and listen. Doesn’t matter much what kind really. Squirrels aren’t a problem here either, or other wildlife, just the occasional rabbit.
The seed i bought is safflower. I heard the mixes aren’t a really good idea. If I could pick out a particular bird we’d want it would be cardinals, I have seen a few of these around, or just anything with color would be fine. Any advice would be appreciated. We’d rather stay away from pole mounts.
Thanks for the replies: Follow up question; is it true birds actually can "use" the feeders more in the summer than in the winter??? I would think surviving the winter would be harder….

1. Whe did the poet repeat the final line?
2. What part of speech is "here" and "near"
3. Why does the poet invert he standard sentence pattern in line 1?
Thanks for your help.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

I bought a house that hasn’t had any landscaping done to it at all. Unless you count overgrown bushes, weeds, and the neighbors bushes encroaching in my yard. I want to get a flower garden started next spring.
I have a guy who will cut the bushes and weeds for me. He could do tilling if I need it or i can. But it’s the garden design I need help with. I’m not sure what flowers and plants would work best in my yard and I’m not that good at color design and design ideas. But I don’t necessarily need someone to do all the planting for me.
I just need to know What to plant Where and When. Like a "Paint-By-Numbers" design for my garden.
Is this the type of service a landscape designer would do? Or a landscape service? If not them, then who would be able to do something like this? And how much done something like that cost (ballpark)?
I’d appreciate information from other gardeners and especially people who work in the landscape business.
Thanks.
P.S. Please don’t suggest I buy a bunch of garden books. I have a bunch. I still can’t decide where to begin.

I am looking to purchase two chocolate fountains for my desert buffet at my wedding. I have been researching all the different types online, but I am not sure which brand/model is best and more functional for a wedding that will likely have 100 people using it.
To those of you that have used a chocolate fountain: which brand did you use?

I recently received a Waterford Crystal Football celebrating the Super Bowl XLII victory by the New York Giants Football team…It is a limited edition 952/5000. The cost of Crystal football is listed on the Waterford Crystal site as 5. Waterford is now out of stock with this and will not be producing any more..I am selling it and wonder what price I should ask for it. Thank you.
