I have several small places around my yard where I want to plant flowers, but I don’t have a clue how to mix and match and arrange the plants so they create a pleasing color scheme and organized pattern of flowers.
Any tips on how to arrange colors, flower types, designs, etc?
Oh, and I’m going to be planting drought-hearty flowers.

I got my inner conch piercing 5 days ago (right ear).
I already have left-side rook piercing, right-side tragus piercing, couple of lobes and a helix, so I pretty much thought I knew what to expect.
I’m also pretty good with piercings – they normally heal quickly, with little pain (if any), and with no problems after that – the only exception being my rook, which took a little longer than the others, but expected that).
Now, however – ooowwwww! My conch is killing me! It’s swollen, tender, and causing pain in one side of my head – feel like I’m being a baby, but sort of after reassurance that this is kind of normal?!? And if not – what can I do to make it stop..?!
There’s no sign of infection – and I really trust my piercist so it’s not like I went somewhere dodgy – just can’t understand why yesterday, it was fine – and today, I’m in ear agony?!?
The only thing I can think of it’s that I’ve put too much salt in my saline solution, which has irritated it? Never had this problem before – are these piercings renowned for being a bit of a b**ch to heal?
Any suggestions – from people with something relevant to say, without meaning to sound nasty! – would be appreciated.
Thanks for your help!

Hey i’m in middle school and I was wondering if I should take my trumpet to the shop because every now and then when I blow into it, it makes no tune, just wind blowing from the bell. Do you think I should take it to the shop. I lost a challenge and my first chair because of it.

I’d like to screen in my apartment patio (if my landlord permits it) but I don’t really know where to start. I would like to get ideas on the cheapest most effective ways to do so, whether it be screen kits, techniques or whatever information you can give!

What things do women not mind doing, or enjoy on their own, without the company of a partner / friends. I know she can do anything she wants to, but i would like honest answers. For instance would you honestly go out in the evening alone to dinner ? Go to a bar alone ? etc etc

I was told recently that gelatin is good for your joints. I’ve been doing my internet research and while this isn’t definitively proven there seems to be plenty of evidence to support it.
The person that told me gelatin is good for your joints also suggested I eat a packet a day – not a bowl of jelly, the actual crystals. I’ve never heard this before – does anyone know if it would be unsafe to eat the crystal’s undiluted?

"The lyric poet may drink wine and live generously, but the epic poet, he who shall sing of the God’s and their descent unto men must drink water out of a wooden bowl. For poetry is not devil’s wine, but God’s wine."

I’ve always been interested in gardens/landscape/flowers/ trees, etc. I want to make designing/beautifying gardens my hobby. I am just starting out and I have a lot to learn…
There are 2 parts to my question:
–What’s the difference between landscape design and landscape architecture?
–Do I need to become a plant expert? For example, if I am planning a section of a garden and I want a tree that has beautiful large pink flowers, should I be expected to list the names of all trees that match this description? (i.e. the magnolia tree). Do I need to become knowledgeable of the life cycles of all different types of plants and what specifically needs to be done to take care of them (i.e. know that X plant needs a lot of sunlight and a lot of water, while Y plant grows well in clay soil, etc)?
Thanks!

I had a bad chest/head cold- I’ve pretty much stopped coughing but my voice still sounds awful- is there a way to speed up the healing process? I sing in a choir and I have weekly voice lessons -so I keep missing practices and such.
