He is 11 years old, and a very sweet loving dog. Until food gets involved and others are around that he feels threatened by. Including myself just tonight. I need to put him in his place and change his behavior.

I just got my koi from the pet store, and floated it like I was told. I have had my fountain for two weeks, and tested the water. Everything reads ok.But why after 20 minutes did it jump out? I don’t think it was out of the water for very long, when I went out to check on it. What should I watch for? It seems to be swimming ok right now. I covered the fountain tonight til I can get some netting for it.
The water has two small goldfih in it. and it has been running for over two weeks. I even added some good bacteria into the fountain/pond and did all the water treatments needed. so i don’t think it is the water.
It is a double barrel with a lining. one pours into the other. I have floating hycintahs and a water plant too.
I did a full test on the water to check everything would .1% above normal be that bad? And my fountain has a plastic lining not concrete.

I was informed today that a law was just passed that people cannot have there own gardens and raise they’re own food, is this true? if so could you please post a link or something so i can have more info?

I have 4 raised beds and I want to collect rain water from the roof’s drain pipe so I can conserve water and use that for my garden. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be done. I’m thinking about buying a big barrel and putting it under the roof’s gutter pipe to collect the water but whatelse can I do and how can I get the water from the barrel to the garden? by the way what kind of barrel do i need? I live in a neighborhood so it has to look good or neighbors won’t like it. Thank you all.

In my garden, I was planing on putting in a pond with a waters fall or stream that trickles into it. Does anyone have any design ideas for a pond? The pond itself will be kinda big because we are putting koi in it.

If you do, would you pray for my mother-in-law Amy? She has cancer. It was in remission, but now it’s come back. The prognosis doesn’t sound good. (If you don’t believe in God or prayer, could you just please refrain from stupid and/or rude comments?)

I’d like to get a very stressed friend one of those tranquil water fountains for his office desk, can you recommend a brand that is long lasting, quiet motor & doesn’t look cheap or ugly? Links would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have a 6" tall glass vase stuck inside an 8" tall ceramic vase. The ceramic vase is tube-shaped; that is, it doesn’t curve. The glass vase inside is curve-shaped and is upside down in the ceramic vase.

I though of putting this in the Home & Garden category(?), but I thought physics more applied here so I put in this category

What I want is very specific and I have a general set up in mind but the mechanics of it are a little beyond me.

I have a garden on a hill that is some way up the yard. We take a hose out and set it up to a drip hose but one area floods and we’re testing ways to drain it and put this in other parts of the garden but proving almost to no avail.

What I would like is a suspended sprinkler system. Some thing that will hook up easily to the hose, water the garden evenly and not waste water. I have a design in mind for the frame work. That I have no problem with. Thinking of using a very basic green house frame. Also, our land lord ran over our last hose and I was thinking that if there was a way I could put a barrel out to catch rain, I could use that instead to water the garden. Not even sure if that’s possible but it’s an idea.

I’m just wondering really about how to set up hosing along the frame work for the sprinkler system. And if anyone knows about how to use a rain water storage unit to power it with low to no need for wires, hoses, or anything that’s going to run from the house, that would be great too.
