I feel very proud to say that I have never bought any Kraut rock or Prog rock LP in my life, i found them to be portentous, bombastic and very, very pretentious. The only bands I liked then were Little Feat and Ry Cooder. I found the 1970’s was easily a musically taste free decade. (Until Punk that is)
Paranoid ( 1970 ) By Black Sabbath
"The Miraculous Hump Returns From the Moon" (1972) by Sopwith Camel
It’s kinda late and I’m not really in the mindset to think much about this, but you are missing possibly some of the greatest albums of all time. Here are a few:
Who’s Next-The Who 1971
American Beauty- Grateful Dead 1970
All Things Must Pass-George Harrison 1970
There Goes Rhymin’ Simon-Paul Simon 1973
Pretzyl Logic-Steeley Dan 1974
Let It Be-Beatles 1970
Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs-Derek and the Dominoes 1970
Mystery to Me-Fleetwood Mac 1973
Madman Across The Water-Elton John 1971
NRPS-New Riders of the Purple Sage 1971
Well we all know what all your "fringe-prog" favorites are but that they are "amazing" is very debatable,(not that the albums were bad)..most of these bands are being forgotten as we speak….maybe Floyd,ELP,Genesis will go on a while longer….Tangerine Dream and Roxy music for a few lasting good memories…Kraftwerk by the Germans…and yeah…of course Priest(which totally doesn’t fit your list)…but the rest of your list..though I’ve heard a lot of them are already rock lore forgotten unless reminded…I wouldn’t know where to add….my favorites and "Real" super classics probably aren’t even in your experience. But…that being said…to each his own!Rock on.
Sabbath,Deep Purple,Zeppelin,Yes(there ya go),Stones,Who,Grand Funk,Mahavishnu Orchestra,Rush,etc…etc..
Bridge Over Troubled Water- Simon & Garfunkel (1970)
John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (1970)
What’s Going On- Marvin Gaye (1971)
Imagine- John Lennon (1971)
There’s A Riot Goin’ On- Sly & The Family Stone (1971)
Hunky Dory- David Bowie (1971)
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars- David Bowie (1972)
Transformer- Lou Reed (1972)
Fresh- Sly & The Family Stone (1973)
Aladdin Sane- David Bowie (1973)
Let’s Get it On- Marvin Gaye (1973)
Band on the Run- Paul McCartney and Wings (1973)

I will pick only ONE album from each artist — and, since I was headed out the door, I will limit it to only 10. You have good pieces on your list, for sure. I will give you a mix. I noticed you don’t have any singer-songwriters, For me, the early Seventies went through a period of listeners mellowing out with thought-provoking soloists — along with prog-rock bands.
Here are mine, as they come to my head, in no particular order :
The dark side of the moon (1973) Pink Floyd
