I don’t want to mow grass inside the fence but grass grew up through our old fence and encroached on my vegetables and bent the fencing. We have to till the ground each year inside fence and don’t want the tiller caught in fence or ground covers. thanks

I live in Kansas, outside of Kansas City, in town but have an undeveloped field right behind our lot. No water around. The snake was probably about a foot long or so, didn’t get a great look, took off running instead. Looked at pictures of whip snakes, don’t think that was what it was.

I would like to keep it simple and use rocks, a low
maintenance style. Any resources and books that
can show me would be of great help.
I saw one in the june issue of Canadian Living.
The Checkerboard style looked very neat and I’d like
one in by small section of my back yard.

Do you have any ideas on a inexpensive garden path? It will be coming from my house to the vegetable garden, the distance is about 100 ft. or more. This isn’t my property, so I need something thats not too permanent. I was thinking of maybe using dried leaves or something…. any ideas? It’s a long walk and I really just want to make it a little more pleasant back there. It’s kind of a country in the city type yard. Thanks

I seem to have no desire to get out there and work. It’s warm enough here to get out frequently in the winter months, but I can’t get going.

It will be a club for both males and females. We will be focusing on composting, landscaping the campus, and fundraising activities for surrounding communities. The club will be at Eastern Connecticut State University.

Easy maintenance is important. Roses, clematis and evergreens are some I enjoy.
