I purchased a baby fish 5 days ago and I’m not quite sure exactly what the species is. It looks like a goldfish, but I don’t know. I bought it in a small crystal bowl… should I keep it in there or change it into a tank?

I was given a crystal bowl from an aquaintance of mine who’s father collected them until he passed away. She told me he had so many pieces that couldn’t keep them all and was giving them away to some of her friends.
The bowl has a marking on the bottom is of an eight point star. This same design is also used in the decorative finish on the outside of the bowl. It’s really heavy and I don’t see any bubbles so I’m assuming that it is crystal. I read that if it’s real crystal it won’t break if dropped, but I really don’t want to try this out.
How can I tell if this is a good quality crystal and how much it could be worth?
Thanks is advance

I have a dark red bowl that was given to me a quite a few years ago but I cannot find it anywhere on the web. It is a dark red footed bowl, very thick crystal with a very sleek design. The box and tag both say Marquis by Waterford and the bottom is etched with the saying as well. The box is pink with a pink and orange butterfly on the front. Anybody know where I can find more information on this piece to get its value?
Thanks!

I recently received a Waterford Crystal Football celebrating the Super Bowl XLII victory by the New York Giants Football team…It is a limited edition 952/5000. The cost of Crystal football is listed on the Waterford Crystal site as 5. Waterford is now out of stock with this and will not be producing any more..I am selling it and wonder what price I should ask for it. Thank you.

But any creative ideas? My mother when we got to be in our 20’s would put my sister’s and my easter chocolate bunny and eggs in a crystal bowl for each of us. I still have that crystal bowl in my china closet. Oh and we would have to hunt for our baskets even at 30. What wonderful memmories. I would really like to start a tradition with my son.

The winners of the four major bowl games will be selected by the same (lame) system that’s currently in use. Let the bowl system give us the NCAA Football Final Four from the Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange Bowls. Then they play each other to see who gets the Crystal Football. This would add a total of two more games, that’s it. Cities could bid on hosting the games and the networks would pay through the nose to televise those games. This has the possibility of making more money than the entire NCAA Basketball Tourney. Does anyone think this to be a viable solution to this nasty dilemma?

I’ve observed the patterns ice-cream makes and that of cracked ice, and I see a similarity, but I’m not sure. Do the water molecules separate and form the lattice, with the rest around/within it? Or is it something else?
I just randomly thought of this as I was picking at my bowl of Dutch chocolate flavoured ice-cream…
