How to keep cat from jumping apartment patio wall?
I’m moving to my first apartment which is on ground level. We have a fairly large patio blocked off with a four foot wall. How can I keep my cat from jumping the wall? I’ve thought about putting potted plants on the wall, but in the autumn we get strong winds which might knock them over.
I should mention that the wall is made out of some concrete material, not wood.

WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT IS THAT YOUR CAT BECOMES FAMILIAR WITH ITS NEW SURROUNDINGS..KEEP THE CAT INDOORS FOR A WEEK AND INTRODUCE IT OUTSIDE ON A LEISH
IT MUST GET ACCUSTOMED TO THE NEW SMELLS TO BE ABLE TO FIND ITS WAY HOME( EVENTUALLY IT WILL JUMP THE WALL ) MAYBE YOU COULD PUT A VISUAL NEXT TO THE WALL THAT GOES UP AND OVER THE WALL LIKE A WIND SOCK/ OR A FLAG/CHIMES ..A CAT IS A CAT AFTER ALL AND YOU ARE ASKING FOR IT TO CHANGE ITS HABIT. CALL YOUR CAT IN EVERY NITE AT THE SAME TIME – MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COLLAR ON IT WITH YOUR NEW ADDRESS- IF LOST.
PUT,IF ITS A SQUARE PATIO, FOUR POSTS UP IN THE CORNERS, THEN PUT TRELLIS UP AND COVER IT WITH IVY, OR SOMETHING SIMILAR IF THE CATS CANT SEE OUT THEY WILL MORE THAN LIKELY STAY IN. I LIVE REALLY HIGH IN AN APARTMENT LIKE THE 7TH FLOOR AND IT WORKS FOR ME, YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT HIGH ENOUGH THO FOR THEM NOT EVEN TO ATTEMPT TO TRY AND JUMP IT. COS THEY WILL TRY LITTLE BEGGERRS
