Inexpensive ways to decorate my outdoor patio please?

I live in a second floor apartment and don’t spend much time outside on my patio, but I would love for it to look half way decent, what would you suggest for a working girl with a budget? Plant recommendations that ward off bees, wasps and bugs in general would be a plus! Thank you and happy Summer time to you!

You can get a bistro set – table and two chairs for around $100 at most stores or online. You can also get a gas grill for around $100 if that’s something you would use. Plants look nice. You can buy flower pots pre-planted at home improvement stores or target/wal-mart. I am working on the same thing for my lonely patio.
