Need ideas for garden(more info)?

I am fixing my garden and need some ideas on what to put in it.It is strangely hot in Lowell,Ma. today and it is going to get hotter because spring will be here in like 2 weeks,so I want to start my garden.Last year was an embarrassment and it’s not happening again this year.Need some help on what to plant in my garden this year.Perennials please but others will be fine.

I love tomatoes, they are easy to grow and you get to eat them. I also, like to grow herbs and wild flowers so that butterflies and hummingbirds come to my garden, I don’t even mind the bees.
