Mother’s day is not till next month, but time flies by so quickly, and I would really want to get an early start because my mother is extremely hard to shop for. I would like to give something PRACTICAL to her….the keyword is practical….something she can use.

Please exclude the following: candles, perfume, lotion, blankets, mattresses, poems, songs, photos, collages, spa day or going out, shoes, clothes, jewelry, hair stuff, garden decor, window stuff, anything that has to do with the house or decorations, blenders, kitchen stuff, entertainment (cds and dvds), food, purses, watches, gift certificates or gift cards, money, electronics, blowdryer, sunglasses, gift baskets, keychains, anything to do with car kits because she does not have a car and I can’t afford to buy her one and plus she does not know how to drive and no I do not want to buy a lesson to learn how to drive, picture frames, sewing kits, baskts, anything home-made, etc.

i sell windchimes and birdhouses ect at local flea markets and trade days..i noticed we do not have alot of places that sell candles and potpouri type stuff any more.does anyone know a website that sell really cheap wholesale ulk candles and potpouri..i have looked up some but they werent very cheap.also the scented chrystals.the lady that used to sell them there left a while back and they sold like hot cakes…i am wanting to widen my inventory a little but still come out ahead.thank you in advance…

I want to sell things like….decorative gardening items: flower pots, plants stakes; home decor: trinkets, wall decor, etc; Other items such as recipe cards, recipe books, candles, etc. How do I find these companies that sell wholesale???

I found what I think is some sort of patio/garden decor piece at Goodwill and am trying to figure out what it is. Most of it is green, it’s about 2.5 feet tall. At the bottom there is a thing that comes out that looks like it’s meant to hold 3 large candles. A little more than half way up there is a ceramic circle that has fruit painted on it. At the top there are 8 spirals, 4 making a sort of "platform" and 4 more above those that are hanging off the sides that look like you could maybe hang something from them. I want to get into the new age medicine business, any suggestions? So far I’ve got magnet therapy, beads woven into a shirt that align with the chakras, aromatherapy candles, and special clothes (think rings, hats, necklaces, etc) that stimulate chi flow.

I need some ideas for decor.. One the bottom shelf we have our xbox 360 games and on either side of them we have some candles in a stand and on the other kinda like our junk bowl, but its a nice crystal bowl. On the second shelf we have our dvd/vcr combo player. on the top we have our xbox 360 on the right side and on the other i have a fish bowl filled up and decorated( no fish though)…
We had our christmas cards we got in the mail on the stand filling up the empty space, but now that i’ve took them down, its just kinda bare..

any ideas?
Oh I forgot to mention! We do have a tree( not sure what kind), but i got it sitting besides the entertainment stand and the movie/lizard stand lol

I feel like some houses you walk into you feel peaceful.. (this is how i feel when im outdoors.. just at peace and spiritual and able to appreciate the beauty of the day and things..) But how do I bring this into my house and make my house have better mood and peace? smells? candles? lights? wind chime outside?

What are the decorating trends this year/or season for a home? What room scents are the most popular, candles, incense, etc. What flowers are popular for Fall and Winter(store bought of course)? What colors are in as far as wall color and general room color of the furniture to the decorations? I am oblivious when it comes to designing and decorating I could use a little bit of help please.
