I recently started playing my copy of Pokemon Platinum with the volume only slightly up..and today, I play for six hours before I realized I had been playing for so long..I stopped playing and attempted to go to sleep..but I kept hearing the chime that goes with pressing a button in the game..and after a few minutes, the music that happens when you get into a battle with a Wild Pokemon..even now as I type I hear the same music playing in my left ear..the harder I try and focus on making it go away, the louder it seems to get. Right now my head hurts from trying to focus the music away, any ideas on what’s causing this or how to get it to go away? It’s quite annoying..

K, I’ve heard this twice in my life, once as a child, and once a couple of years ago. Both times it was at night, dark outside. It was snowing, I was in Michigan, around Dearborn.
Chimes is the best I can describe it, brief, and far away, and the sound comes from straight up overhead. Not the jangling of wind chimes, like a soft chime like in baby toys.
This wasn’t at Christmas, rather a bit after, like late January or so.
Has anyone else heard this? Know what it is? Know where I could find out?

My music is amazing,
My music takes time.
My music isn’t rhyming,
It doesn’t cost a dime.
My music doesn’t need a player,
My music comes from inside.
My music has many layers,
It can never hide.
Music isn’t instruments
Or notes and strings and chords.
Music is the elements
Mother Nature and the Lord.
Music sounds from my feet
To my knees, hands, and head.
There is not a certain beat
No drummer, Bonzo, from "Led."
However, music comes from the heart
Nowhere else can it be found;
Not a football field or basketball court,
Within is where it sounds.
We can all make music
No need for a muse.
Not classic, or hip hop, or celtic
But something untameable; loose.
Louder than a kick drum
And softer than a chime
Prettier than a girl’s hum
More flavor than lemon-lime.
My music is something special
More distant than the poles
This music comes from me
I am known by some as the, Emile I.

Usually for between 5 and 30 seconds. This also seems to happen with other sounds, like an elevator’s chime or a beep from the TV or a video game. The sounds seem to be more noticeable when there is white noise, but the music is usually the same.
If anybody knows what might cause this/what it is, I would be very appreciative.
Thank you.
I should add, this has been going on for about 6-8 weeks, and started during a very stressful period.

I have a blackberry curve, and a go phone sim card. I have tried everything, and nothing works. I cannot get the chime for the go phone notification to GO AWAY.
I’ve edited everything possible, even on silent, vibrate, and OFF! it makes the noise, and this is really annoying when i want to have my phone on in school. =] helpp mee.

I already tried turning off each them off manually—didn’t work. Also, when I open the driver side door, the door open chime goes off like crazy until i put my key in the ignition. Interior lights never go out. All doors have been checked to make sure they are closed.

We went through an electrical storm some time ago, and it started humming.
I have replaced both push buttons, the chime, and the transformer.
I have six wires coming through the wall. 3 white and 3 red.
The house is almost 50 years old. Both buttons have their respective red and white wires.

I am researching development of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle and I am trying to determine if power provided by an alternator from an electric motor to the battery or wiring harness will cause the dash lights to go off as it would normally when the engine is started. I want to turn the ignition to the on position and have the dash lights go off, instead of remaining on and hearing a chime. What is the actually electronic action that terminates the lamps and chime from working when a vehicle is started?

Before you post an answer saying just wear your seat belt, don’t waste my time or yours. I wear my seat belt every day, every time I get into my car; BUT as soon as start the car that obnoxiously loud chime goes off before I even have a chance to buckle my seat belt. So can someone please tell me a way to permanently disable the chime. Thank you.

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Impala base sedan with a 3.4 and "prefferred group" options. My problem is that my chime is not to loud i can barely hear it. So how can louden it? You know the chime that tells you that you have a key stuck in the ignition or warn you that your parking brake is engaged after you shift from park. How can I resolve this issue?
