I purchased a baby fish 5 days ago and I’m not quite sure exactly what the species is. It looks like a goldfish, but I don’t know. I bought it in a small crystal bowl… should I keep it in there or change it into a tank?
I was given a crystal bowl from an aquaintance of mine who’s father collected them until he passed away. She told me he had so many pieces that couldn’t keep them all and was giving them away to some of her friends.
The bowl has a marking on the bottom is of an eight point star. This same design is also used in the decorative finish on the outside of the bowl. It’s really heavy and I don’t see any bubbles so I’m assuming that it is crystal. I read that if it’s real crystal it won’t break if dropped, but I really don’t want to try this out.
How can I tell if this is a good quality crystal and how much it could be worth?

But any creative ideas? My mother when we got to be in our 20’s would put my sister’s and my easter chocolate bunny and eggs in a crystal bowl for each of us. I still have that crystal bowl in my china closet. Oh and we would have to hunt for our baskets even at 30. What wonderful memmories. I would really like to start a tradition with my son.
What do I do with the water that accumulates in the salt container in my dehumidifier?
I have a room on my house that leaked several years ago and now it has a mold smell which is especially bad during the rainy season.
A friend said to use a dish of salt crystals as a dehumidifier. So far it is working! BUT now I don’t know what to do with the collected water.
I live in the forest so it is dark and damp in the winter. The house is damp if we don’t keep the heat cranked up. I do not want to use an electric humidifier. I recall that the use of an electric light can help with keeping the room warm and thus less damp.
Another thing that you should know, we have a septic system and am concerned that if I pour the salty water down the toilet it will effect the bacterial balance of the septic.
1) Shall I continue to use both the lite and the salt crystals?
2) How do I recycle the moisture that accumulates in the salt crystal bowl???

I am confused what is crystal. I was told my Grandma like crystal, I think that is the lamps and stuff. But now is thier 60 wedding anniversary, Can I describe this as a crystal bowl?
Is this a good 60th wedding anniversary gift?

i have a crystal bowl (plastic) and lots of beads that came as a kit but no instructions. The beads are for a macrame hanger no jute or twine, just bead thread. Does anyone know where i can find the pattern. I have tried everywhere.

Is a crystal bowl actually made from genuine crystals…because when i look at your typical fancy crystal punch bowl it just looks like carved glass to me.
from what no real help said…sounds like theres more lead in crystal…and that glass is alot healthier to drink out of then a crystal glass or bowl…that sucks because they are so pretty.

I just want a single quartz crystal bowl- and a small one at that- around 16 oz. It doesn’t have to be fancy, in fact, I would rather if it was clear or "clearish" and had no design at all. I don’t want to have to buy a set or spend 00 on a bowl.. because.. it’s a BOWL..

My mom has a large lead crystal bowl and a piece about two inches long got broke off of the base. It is a punchbowl on a connected pedestal. We had it repaired at the glass place but it came apart again. The bowl is brilliant cut crystal and is very beautiful. It is also very heavy!!!!
for thanksgiving or even fall. I have it in the center of my dining room table but it look to empty. It needs something inside its not small its a pretty good size. its a Mikasa crystal bowl. Any suggestion? I know I dont want to put candy in it. What could i do?
