I cannot for the life of me remember this movie?

I saw this movie when I was very little and for the last few years it’s been bugging me and I would really love to find it!

All I can remember is it was the late 80′s or early 90′s and I think it was some sort of fairytale (not a cartoon) involving a little girl and some sort of scary queen or similar… anyways the only scene that I remember is that the little girl walked into this room (I want to say it was covered in ice but that may not be true) and there was a crystal bowl or something holding either gems or maybe cherries! she takes one and then something bad happens…I know very random and I sounds like a bad acid trip but I swear it is a movie and it’s driving me friggin nuts!

any leads would be appreciated!

As evident from my name I am currently expecting twins and am due in November but because it is twins I will probably not make it past mid-october. A very dear friend is getting married on October 8th and I doubt I will be able to attend. Because of this I want to get her a really good shower gift. Usually I will spend around -0 for the shower gift and another 0 for the wedding present but I don’t think that is nearly enough in this situation (she came to my destination wedding and is someone you can really count on to help in any situation). I am on a bit of a budget as we are trying to save as much money as possible for when I go out on maternity leave but I still want to get her something really nice. Unfortunately her registry doesn’t have much over 0 and I don’t want to get her 500 little things. Any suggestions, maybe a nice Lenox vase or Tiffany crystal bowl?
She hasn’t registered for China or any serving sets. It is a very bare bones registry with alot of small decorative items but not alot of kitchen items, which usually costs a bit.

OK- it has to be and it has to be 3 items that cost each.
And you have to be real careful with my husband family because they tend to by quantity over quality. Like last year I asked for 1. Nice Frame 2. Crystal Bowl and 3. Beeswax Candle so his sister bought me a whole bunch of walmart frames, cheap bowls and a bunch of dollars store candles. All of which are still sitting in the crawl space because everything is so junky looking. This year I want to think of three items they couldn’t possible skimp on like maybe a bread maker because the cheapest one is .00….
Any other suggestions?

Sorry if I sound like a B but it’s just really annoying to get a bag full of junk when you got up early waited in line for a great sale and got her diamond earrings for that were 0 orginally. I am tired of putting all this effort into it to get garbage from walmart, which I don’t even shop at because my husband is Philadelphia Union board.
She just asked for nice earrings. I am just that great of a shopper.

Where does your cat sleep?

My cat sleeps in a crystal bowl that I have on a table in my living room. I didn’t plan for him to sleep there, but every time I put ANYTHING in the bowl, he takes it out and moves in! Where is the weirdest place your cat sleeps?
It’s really good to know my cat isn’t so weird after all! And to the person who wants a cat – get one! There are tons of cats and kittens who need homes at your local humane association, who would love your companionship. Also, I don’t have pictures yet, but when I find my cameera I’ll try to post some. Maybe it was in the crystal bowl… :)
Love pretty much all the answers so far! Didn’t know that so many cats like to sleep in the sink. I have 3, and none of them do. And the panties thing (answeer 36) is SO FUNNY! It’ll be harde to pick a winner on this one!

I’ve seen photos of the awards and there is a crystal bowl trophy, a silver bowl trophy, a silver trophy with handles and a pink & yellow ribbon (and other ribbons). Which of those is the "Best in Show" award?
I’m specifically wondering what the Best in Show trophy looks like, since there are so many awards. I’m going to recreate the Best in Show award in 3D, so I need to make sure I have the right one… since there is a crystal bowl, a silver bowl, and then another more ornate trophy. Just wondering which one is the Best in Show trophy. Thanks!

I have a room on my house that leaked several years ago and now it has a mold smell which is especially bad during the rainy season.
A friend said to use a dish of salt crystals as a dehumidifier. So far it is working! BUT now I don’t know what to do with the collected water.
I live in the forest so it is dark and damp in the winter. The house is damp if we don’t keep the heat cranked up. I do not want to use an electric humidifier. I recall that the use of an electric light can help with keeping the room warm and thus less damp.
Another thing that you should know, we have a septic system and am concerned that if I pour the salty water down the toilet it will effect the bacterial balance of the septic.
1) Shall I continue to use both the lite and the salt crystals?
2) How do I recycle the moisture that accumulates in the salt crystal bowl???

I shipped a crystal bowl to a friend as a gift, which retailed for ,000. I took it to UPS Store so they could package and ship the product. I insured it for 3,000. I had it shipped to a different city just 40 miles away. The bowl was broken when my friend received it. Filed a claim, ups took the bowl from my friend and I can’t get any information from the UPS Store. I sent them my receipt and proof of purchase but no information, they keep dodging my calls and give me the run around. What should I do?

Can somone explain harmonics to me?

The dictionary definitions suck, im trying to understand what people mean when they say certain frequency’s have harmonic overtones or whatever, like a crystal bowl will play note C but also wil have other notes ringing in and out in the back round or something? Or dose it work like you play certain combinations of two different notes and a third one will ring out on and off or something? I was reading this website about crystal bowls and it really confused me about what ever harmonics is. If anyone has a mathematical answer that would be excellent thanks…

pythagorean theorem. so confused….?

The top of a crystal bowl is circular. the diameter at the top of the bowl is MN. P is the Midpoint of MN, and OP (DISTANCE FROM MID. TO BOTTOM) is _l_ MN if MN=24 and OP=12 determine whether tri. MPO and NPO are equilateral. I got yes, but my teacher said no! plz help!!!!!!
wait, but if both have 12,12, and 16.97, why aren’t all sides the same?

Talking about Tiffanny’s…?

On our wedding, a guest brought us a very nice Tiffany crystal bowl.

It’s very pretty, but we have so many crystal bowls already. I lived in Europe for 5 years and, as a consequence, have so many great quality crystal (Villeroy and Boch, Nachmann, Bacarat ) that I really do not need anymore, and I do not that I have a place to display them all.

Whay would you do:

1- Return it and get a Tiffanny credit/refund

or

2- Married life, new life. Keep it and get rid of your older ones

3-Keep them all. They are all nice

4-Get rid of them all…who uses crystal bowls anyway.

What is your favorite option and why.

Thank you
The bowl in question:

I thought about regifting too. I get invited to so many weddings is crazy … but I’, not a re-gifter… I’m always paranoid that I’m going to get caught LOL!
I currently have 3 crystal bowls (got rid of two) and I have another bowl from Crate and Barrel. Thank you everyone for your thoughtful answers.

Misunderstanding?

Sister Mary Holycard was in her 60s, and much admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon early in the spring a young priest came to chat, so she welcomed him into her Victorian parlor.

She then invited him to have a seat while she prepared a little tea.

As he sat facing her old pump organ, the young priest noticed a crystal glass bowl sitting on top of it filled with water, and in the water floated, a condom.

Well, imagine how shocked and surprised he was. Imagine his curiosity! Surely, he thought, Sister Mary had flipped or something!

When she returned with tea and cookies, they began to chat, and of course, the priest tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water, and the strange floater. Soon it got the better of him and he could resist no longer.

"Sister," he asked, "I wonder if you could tell me about this?" (pointing to the crystal bowl)

"Oh, yes," she replied, "Isn’t it wonderful?"

"I was walking downtown last fall and I found this little package. The directions said to put it on the organ, keep it wet, and it would prevent disease. And you know I haven’t had a cold all winter!"

Geometry homework help…?

The problem: The top of a crystal bowl is circular. The diameter at the top of the bowl is MN. P is the midpoint of line MN, and line OP is perpendicular to line MN. If MN=24 and OP=12, determine whether triangle MPO and triangle NPO are equilateral…Please explain

Do you want to know what's funny as hell?

My dad was trying to scoop up ice cream, and while he was doing that, his elbow hit a crystal bowl, and the bowl went flying across the kitchen!

Don’t you think that’s funny?!
Do you want to know how much that bowl was worth?

Best, practical wedding gifts?

Anyone have ideas for a good, practical wedding gift?

Friends want to split the cost for something like a crystal bowl, but what good is that? I’d rather give something practical. I’d love your suggestions.

Thanks!
Sorry. Forgot to mention that the bride and groom have no gift registry.
