I want to start a garden, but don’t know how. I live in central New Jersey. The soil I’m looking at is the area around my mailbox. It’s pretty small, less than 2 feet wide and 5 ft long. There are plenty of weeds and stuff thriving there, and lots of rocks. Not big rocks, the kind of rocks that people put as decor. I used a shovel to turn the earth, and it looks moist. There are lots of ants. I want to prepare the soil for planting, but I don’t know how. How do I get rid of the rocks? Should I get rid of the soil? What about the weeds? I know absolutely nothing on gardening. I’m just looking to make a pretty flower garden around my mailbox. Please help me. Links are appreciated. Thanks!

My vegetable garden is about 40 x 40. I live in Central IL. What should I do for it this fall so it will produce well next spring and summer. I intend to till it up but don’t know about adding fertilizer, lime, compost, etc. I see those huge piles of fertilizer along corn fields but the pile is very small compared to the size of the field, how would you know how much of the stuff to use in your home garden and how on earth would you ever spread so little of amount? Ten points and a bushel of tomatoes for the best answer!

When I strike a tuning fork in the physics lab cut to vibrate at the sound of middle c on a piano, it vibrates or oscillates at
256 hertz.
If I cut a number of brass tubes to variable lengths, like wind chimes, then the shorter ones vibrate faster per second than the longer ones. So. In those terms, and viewing the earth as a giant tuning fork or sphere,…what is the basic and fundamental (note) or frequency, or wavelength of this planet?

I am recently getting into feng shui to help my home to be more relaxing and energy flowing better. I cant go out and buy feng shui items… but was wondering what would be good objects to use that I may have lying around the house for metal, earth, wood and fire? I have a crystal bowl with water in it and floating candles… would that work for water in the living room? i need help… not sure what items are usuable…

How is that even possible? First off, there around 1 zillion bells on earth. And every single time a bell "rings" that means an angel gets a new pair of wings? Sure Seraphims have 6 wings but sill there is probably a LOT more rings then wings going around. Not to mention that must be an awful lot of people wind up in heaven, which kindof defeats the purpose of living a good life if they can just repent and be forgiven. Why do such people call themselves Christians yet do such sinful acts?

I just discovered that crystals are believed to have healing powers. In a way it sounded dumb but cmon, everything on this earth was put here to serve an important purpose right? Its hard to believe they where put here for only looks and money.

So what do you know about this concept of healing crystals? And if this is only one of natures offerings is there anymore?

I am going to say equal. I’m so heavily into rock music I don’t listen to them really much anymore, but when I was a high schooler until I was 22, those two were my fave groups. They still are my fave groups in that genre, though I now have a BAAAAAD itch to listen to Bell Biv Devoe after years of not hearing their music.

As for EWF, my fave song is Had Enough. I did not grow up on that song, did not here it until I was 20. However, I did grow up on My Love & Let’s Groove. im trying to plan a garden and i want to incorporate the 4 elements, water, earth, fire, and air, into it.
im trying to get plants and decorations that would fall under those categories.
here is some info on the things i want and don’t want in it:

water:
small water features – max size 3 ft tall, 4 ft long and 3 ft in length
water plants
colors from black to a sky blue
ornaments

fire:
nothing really big except for plants
any "warm" color like fall colors or colors you see in actual flames except green or blue
i really don’t want actual flames in my garden becausdon’tdont want the chance of my garden burning down.
