i need to know what genre of music the instrument chimes are a part of..? i thought percussion, but i guess thats not even a genre…any ideas??

So i was at the gym today and this breakdancer started to play some funky music inside the aerobics area.

it was like a mix of rap, instrumentals, electronic, beats, and over all a batch of funky fresh goodness.

i asked him what one of the bands were and he said "the avalanches"

so my question to you break dancers are, what genre of music is this? what kinds of groups can u guys give me examples of so i can start downloading! THANKS
