I got my Industrial piercing yesterday. Today when I woke up it feels fine, with just a minor pain coming from the top hole. Other then that I have no pain or bleeding.
The bottom hole looks great its not red, but just a little bit swollen.
The top hole around the piercing is red/purple and quite swollen.
Does that sound like there could be a problem, or is it all part of the healing process?

I have an older gelding who someone managed to get a puncture wound in the side of his fetlock joint. The vet came out and flushed it out, cut away the proud flesh and bandaged it up. The injury had gone all the way into the joint and it was infected. He’s been on antibiotics for about a month now. He went from not putting any weight at all on it to seemingly sound, so we let him go from a very small paddock to a larger one, still by himself. Now the swelling has come back and he has a small limp.
I don’t know if he should go back to the smaller paddock(it is REALLY small) or if this is part of the healing process. Anyone know how long these things can take to heal?
He doesn’t have a stall-he is normally turned out 24/7 on 50 acres with a herd. He is fine by himself-he spent most of his life as a breeding stallion, but I know he still would prefer to be back with the herd. His first paddock was not much bigger than a stall-it was roughly 15ft.X15ft. His current paddock is maybe 1/4 acre.

I got hit dead on the tip of my finger with a football over a week ago. I iced and elevated my finger the first 2 days to help with the crazy swelling. Since then, the swelling is gone and the bruising has faded. Now, there isn’t a lot of pain unless I squeeze gently around the joint. Also, it is very stiff. I can’t make a tight fist or straighten the finger out all the way yet.
Does this sound like the normal healing process for a jammed finger? I hate to go to the doctor for something that isn’t really bothering me, but I am a little nervous that it isn’t healing as quickly as it should.
Any advice or past experiences would be helpful, thank you!

We’ve all heard that vitamin C promotes healing. So, I have this wound on my leg and i’ve been waiting forever for it to heal so i was thinking to speed up the process why not crush up some vitamin C pills and apply them directly to the wound to speeden the healing process. I’ve heard of aspirin masks so why not this? Please give me some feedback and share other methods of healing ointments.. no polysporin suggestions please. Already am using that too..

I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted 20 days ago. The healing process has been slow for my bottom extraction sites. I rinse with the syringe the dentist gave me after I eat. Today I was rinsing with the syringe like normal-maybe used a bit more of force. I saw some white matter thinking it was some left over food but after it came out the extraction site started to bleed a little. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if it is food stuck in the extraction site or not. Does this sound normal since it’s been 20 days?

so about a month and a half ago, maybe 2 months, my roommate and i were being drunken idiots and burning ourselves with lighters by holding the flame on to heat up the metal part and then putting the metal part on our skin…(idiotic, i know, bear with me)
so immediately after i did my final ‘masterpiece’, the mark was completely white and indented. it didnt bubble up until later the next day…and then the weeks that followed it got infected which i just took care of by cleaning it and keeping it wrapped.
so now, no longer an open wound, its a puffy red scar that occasionally stings and itches. ive been putting vitamin E on it…and im just wondering if this sounds like it is a normal part of the healing process or is something maybe wrong and maybe i should have a dr. check it out?
thanks!

hi well my aunt helps people who are in emotional pain from a loss or grief and she asked me if i could compile a cd with music that would fit for the healing process.
anyways what she wants is to have a kid of "new age" music with soft instruments like chimes, harps, piano but no guitars or rock music stuff, she would love to have a choir-like song with women singing but have no english words to distract people from the music with the exception of chants, she wants it to be basically angelic; the kind of music you’d hear in heaven i guess and be kind of heart lifting, with positive energy.
so anyways can you help me with this becuz im not really sure what kind of music to get for her. any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.
