"A few words to say good-morning".Comments?

As the wind rustles
Slightly through the leaves
Wind-chimes carillon
In un-fashioned harmony.
The night owl ceases
To beckon its mate.
The dawn awakens,
Yet the quietude of night
Prevails…
A peculiar stillness,
Absent of noise
Or its endless chattering…

This is my g’morning to you.

Gary.

How do you rejuvinate your garden in the summer?

I need some ideas to perk up my gardens. I’m in zone 8. A lot of my flowers look rough, loosing leaves and turning yellow. They get a regular watering but I’ve noticed the soil is starting to look poor and the compost has decomposed quickly and there isn’t much there.
I’m concerned about fertilizing because of the heat , but I think they need some nutrients.

I’d appreciate any ideas you can suggest. Thanks!

I have veggie garden with various peppers and sweet potatoes. Over night, several of the plants had their leaves cut off near the stem. I don’t think it was a rabbit since the leaves were not eaten, just left on the ground. I do not have fence, but did put some coyote urine around the garden to keep rabbits away. Any ideas of what it could be? I’m thinking insect or bird. Also how to do stop it going forward? Thank you (Also the plants were not uprooted)

Ok it was back in the ’80s and the song is called "I’ll Walk In The Rain By Your Side" and the lyrics are:
I’ll walk in the rain by your side, I’ll cling to the warmth of your hand, I’ll do anything to keep you satisfied, I’ll love you more than anybody can.
And the wind will whisper your name to me, little birds will sing along in time, leaves will bow down when you walk by and morning bells will chime.
I’ll be there when your feeling down, to kiss away the tears if you cry, I’ll share with you all the happiness I found a reflection of the love in your eyes, and I’ll sing you the song of the rainbow, I’ll whisper of the joy that is mine, and the leaves will bow down when you walk by and morning bells will chime.
I’ll walk in the rain by your side, I’ll cling to the warmth of your hand, I’ll do anything to help you understand, I’ll love you more than anybody can.
And the wind will whisper your name to me, little birds will sing along in time, leaves will bow down when you walk by and morning bells will chime.

Who is this song by????

How much would you pay for these items?

* A birdhouse made entirely from twigs (its pretty cool)
* A paper weight (leaf design on it. REAL leaves were used)
* Garden pinwheels
* Candle holder made entirely from twigs
* Friendship bracelets

If you have any ideas, feel free to share them!
WRG is right about one thing…. the candle holder

Need ideas for a rainbow garden?

Even if you only know one type, let me know! This can go many ways, as far as plants, bushes, or flowers. I would like for it to be plants where the leaves and all were of a certain color, but flowers will be good to. I need plant/bush/flower type that are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet.

It was a guy with a soothing voice and the 5 min session was going from the roots to the leaves. It had only four or so tracks, purple and black cover, and there was like a 5 min 10 min and 20 min. I am desperately needing relaxation and that cd was perfect.

meditation 17

PERCHANCE he for whom this bell tolls may be so ill, as that he knows not it tolls for him; and perchance I may think myself so much better than I am, as that they who are about me, and see my state, may have caused it to toll for me, and I know not that. The church is Catholic, universal, so are all her actions; all that she does belongs to all. When she baptizes a child, that action concerns me; for that child is thereby connected to that body which is my head too, and ingrafted into that body whereof I am a member. And when she buries a man, that action concerns me: all mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated; God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice; but God’s hand is in every translation, and his hand shall bind up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie open to one another. As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come, so this bell calls us all; but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness. There was a contention as far as a suit (in which both piety and dignity, religion and estimation, were mingled), which of the religious orders should ring to prayers first in the morning; and it was determined, that they should ring first that rose earliest. If we understand aright the dignity of this bell that tolls for our evening prayer, we would be glad to make it ours by rising early, in that application, that it might be ours as well as his, whose indeed it is. The bell doth toll for him that thinks it doth; and though it intermit again, yet from that minute that that occasion wrought upon him, he is united to God. Who casts not up his eye to the sun when it rises? but who takes off his eye from a comet when that breaks out? Who bends not his ear to any bell which upon any occasion rings? but who can remove it from that bell which is passing a piece of himself out of this world?

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were: any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee. Neither can we call this a begging of misery, or a borrowing of misery, as though we were not miserable enough of ourselves, but must fetch in more from the next house, in taking upon us the misery of our neighbours. Truly it were an excusable covetousness if we did, for affliction is a treasure, and scarce any man hath enough of it. No man hath affliction enough that is not matured and ripened by and made fit for God by that affliction. If a man carry treasure in bullion, or in a wedge of gold, and have none coined into current money, his treasure will not defray him as he travels. Tribulation is treasure in the nature of it, but it is not current money in the use of it, except we get nearer and nearer our home, heaven, by it. Another man may be sick too, and sick to death, and this affliction may lie in his bowels, as gold in a mine, and be of no use to him; but this bell, that tells me of his affliction, digs out and applies that gold to me: if by this consideration of another’s danger I take mine own into contemplation, and so secure myself, by making my recourse to my God, who is our only security.

some of it’s lyrics are-
i’ll walk in the rain by your side…

cho:
and the wind will whisper your name to me
…..
the leaves will bow down
when you walk by
and morning bells will chime

Do you have any ideas on a inexpensive garden path? It will be coming from my house to the vegetable garden, the distance is about 100 ft. or more. This isn’t my property, so I need something thats not too permanent. I was thinking of maybe using dried leaves or something…. any ideas? It’s a long walk and I really just want to make it a little more pleasant back there. It’s kind of a country in the city type yard. Thanks

Is this poem any good, please be honest?

She dances through the trees
twirling over the ground
like leaves blowing in the wind
twisting in the dawn.
Every now and then
I catch a flash of green
her dress
as she flits around
like a fairy
with the rosy golden glow of the sunrise
illuminating her smiling face.
A warm wind blows
and her hair ripples
like birds feathers
gently shaking
in the summer morning.
She laughs
filling the still morning air with bells
then disappears
behind the camouflage
of a thousand trees.

I moved into my townhome last Feduary and it has a very small patio. It’s size is about 15×25 and it’s all concrete. I have some plants in pots that I have had for over 2 or 3 years but since I moved here they aren’t doing well. For example, my trumpet vine has not started blooming yet. last year it blooomed all summer and winter. My geraniums are pale and then turn yellow and dropping the leaves. Some are getting hollow and dark like if they are rotting. I don’t want to lose them, I inherited them from my dear grandmother.

Appears to be being eaten by something. saw green caterpillar like insect on leaves of brussel sprout young plant. Other plants doing fairly well.See holes in a few other leaves, but somethings descimating my Brussell Sprout plants. Please help.

the leaves are yellowing at the bottom of the plants…ie…tomato, squash, cucumber, bell pepper and pimento pepper. each are in their own planter. give them enough water to keep soil moist. used fresh miracle grow soil. plants were very healthy when bought and transplanted to patio planters three weeks ago. they get direct morning sun until 11:30 am.
