to rip your neighbors wind chimes down? Any advice would be appreciated….
I have 4 raised beds and I want to collect rain water from the roof’s drain pipe so I can conserve water and use that for my garden. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be done. I’m thinking about buying a big barrel and putting it under the roof’s gutter pipe to collect the water but whatelse can I do and how can I get the water from the barrel to the garden? by the way what kind of barrel do i need? I live in a neighborhood so it has to look good or neighbors won’t like it. Thank you all.
im gonna ask husbands and wives their preferences if they could choose ! Thanks!
Would you prefer to live in a farm house with out any neighbors but maybe a acre over?
OR live in a duplex mansion with neighbors on the top floor?( and that floor is vacant so we willnot know who is moving in)
Both are about the same rent and approx same square feet about 1200 sf each ( more or less)
the mansion is 30 minutes plus to the highway for work and includes heat bills
the farm house is 10 minutes or less to highway for work and does not include heat bills but is on 15 acres
to ncow the mansion was built in 1869 and the top and third floor seperate from first floor are duplexes and i live in illinois
gordon the lawn maintenance and snow removal aretaken care of bythe owner and htt i don’t have kids ( but i have 3 cats who will enjoy iy and plan on getting a dog if the owner lets me)
I sort of want to start a little project using wind chimes. You see, we have a lovely tree back in the garden, and I think it could be a great spot to put some wind chimes. We live within close proximity with our neighbors, though, so getting them to go along with this might be a challenge.
How mad would you be if you lived next to a tree with hundreds plus wind chimes?
Please help me—one got in and with the help of neighbors we got it out–it was a black racer—over 4 ft long
I rent a condo on the first floor and there is some down stair neighbors that consistently walk through my patio to go around the building to there back door. I irritates me and I am about to confront them. I would like to know if anyone knows what I can do without a confrontation.
I enjoy annoying the neighbors, how about you.
my neighbors and i live on an alleyway, and the regular public has access to it, but not too much traffic…
i just put up a wind chime…lasted 3 days & now its missing…
why would anyone steal my stuff? have you been robbed as well? it was only , but its the principal behind it…
my bad…i meant wind chime not ‘wing’
what is a wing chime?
i’m hungry
girly girl…most of my neighbors have wind chimes…and there are all over my neighborhood…i don’t think that was the case
I bought a house that hasn’t had any landscaping done to it at all. Unless you count overgrown bushes, weeds, and the neighbors bushes encroaching in my yard. I want to get a flower garden started next spring.
I have a guy who will cut the bushes and weeds for me. He could do tilling if I need it or i can. But it’s the garden design I need help with. I’m not sure what flowers and plants would work best in my yard and I’m not that good at color design and design ideas. But I don’t necessarily need someone to do all the planting for me.
I just need to know What to plant Where and When. Like a "Paint-By-Numbers" design for my garden.
Is this the type of service a landscape designer would do? Or a landscape service? If not them, then who would be able to do something like this? And how much done something like that cost (ballpark)?
I’d appreciate information from other gardeners and especially people who work in the landscape business.
Thanks.
P.S. Please don’t suggest I buy a bunch of garden books. I have a bunch. I still can’t decide where to begin.
My neighbors patio umbrella blew into my house during a storm – is he required to pay for the damage?
I have two new neighbors who recently moved into the apartment below me. Our patios are stacked on top of each other. I have no problem with them actually smoking, but when they smoke outside, it drifts up through my patio and into my open window. THey keep their patio door shut to keep smoke from getting into their house, yet it all comes into mine. They are nice people, and I don’t want to start some sort of feud. How do I approach them about not smoking outside . . . I mean its outside?
I have been asked to refurbish my neighbors teak patio set (1 octogonal table and 4 chairs w/slats). I have refinished loads of wood furniture before but never teak. I know how to clean and seal it but just want some kind of a ball park figure on how much I should charge.
I have tried to speak with the neighbors (very unmannerly), contacted the city (was sent with a response that it is their right), and now I am left with hopelessness because the noise is just intolerable. We cannot move because we just bought the property. Any help on who to contact or what to do?
I live in a co-op and one of my neighbors has these annoying wind chimes. I am going to check with the management, but does anyone know if there is usually a rule against something like this?
