Christmas Tree. How is yours decorated?

Mine tree is a 8 ft Scandanavian Pine (a blue green with white tips) with 1200 lights, clear ornaments, icicles made of glass, silver jingle bells & tiny windchimes. I am putting it up this weekend.
What does yours look like & when will you put it up?
Not too early for me!!! We always have so much going on in December (I have 3 kids) that we have started putting our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving. It gets up all in the holiday mood.
And, I agree that Christmas is getting too commercial, you just have to decide for yourself how far you will fall into that. My kids go pick out toys for our church toy drive. They are 8, 4, 2 and are learning early. In fact, we don’t even label their gifts to avoid them "counting" their presents.
I top my tree with a burgundy & gold angel. I have been eyeing an angel that would be perfect for my tree. I see it every year at a craft fair. But, it is 5 and I just can’t bring myself to spend 5 on an angel- unless its skirt if made out of twenties ;)

Looking to buy garden windmill toys?

Hi, in the 70s/80s in the UK you used to be able to get garden toys/ornaments which were plastic and had a windmill which, when caught in the wind, caused a little man to do something – there was one turning a water well, one chopped wood, one held a bucking horse, one rode a bike… etc. I used to love them when I was little and have been looking all over the internet for them but cannot even find a reference to them ;-(

Hope someone can remember and even better, point me in the direction of where I could find one. We had a few but they all broke – when a strong wind took them the little man went beserk and after a few years they all used to fall to bits!!!

Are Fairy Ornaments false idols?

When my daughters were small, they liked to play fairies and I bought some garden fairy ornaments that remain in our back garden.
Now that I’m a Christian, I’m wondering if I should get rid of them as they are fantasy figures and perhaps even false idols.

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on this subject.

Many thanks

Some statues, ornaments or gates to catch and hold the glistening snow? Maybe red berries or an ornamental tree that rises up out of the sleeping earth. I love gardening and in the winter gardens sleep so I make sure mine still brings me joy when I look out the window, especially when it snows.

What do ornaments in japanese gardens serve?

What is the purpose of having ornaments and decorations. Please answer soon. My project is due on Wednesday.

My ornaments are coming out with lots of air bubble holes in the cement / sand mix. Any tips?

I have been told by many that my work is very beautiful and that I should go into business for myself. I love to design yards and I feel I am very good at it. I have never had my own business before so I really don’t even know where to start. Do I need a licence for this? When and If I did start do I pay for all the lawn design and then charge them for it afterwards? How much does ones usually charge for something like this? I know it cost me a pretty penny to do my own yard.LOL Plus all the time I had into it. I built my own ponds, bridges, flower pots, Large and small driftwood decor, painted what ever needed to be painted, had several decor water pumps running, Large stumps of wood for some of the water decor pumps to sit on. I halled in lava rocks, river rocks, large bolder rocks for design, many flower plants, wind chimes, tie kie torches, indoor outdoor rope lights that swirled through the ground plants, ground ornaments, ground lights, green viens through the back fencing, ect
