I bought a patio door set (each door is 46"x72") at auction. I didn’t realize until after the auction was over that the frame wasn’t included. Is there any way to build a custom frame? Any suggestions to where I could find materials for this?

My patio door lower track has a 6" worn area that allows the roll to get off of it. I have to lift the door a little bit to get it to open or close to get the rollers back on the track. Can I buy a 6 foot replacement track for a patio door?

I have a french patio door and need to know whether it is the kind where each rectangular window is its own pane of glass, or whether it is the kind where there is just one big pane of glass, and a wood grill sits on top of it.

When we woke up this morning, our patio door was open about a foot, but the back door to our porch was closed, so we think maybe the cat did it? There is not a lot of crime in our area, but we do have a few nice things and my significant other left the blinds open and lights on last night.

I’m looking for a sliding glass patio door to replace mine. I would like it to have a little window or a little opening on the top half of the door, so that I can open the window to let fresh air in without having to open the whole door.
I have searched online, but have had no luck finding this so far.
Thank you.

I want to cut a hole in the wall and add a patio door. How much would a contractor charge for this? is this a 1Kish or 10Kish job?

I am considering having my patio door replaced and the opening is roughly 72 by 80. The home was built in 1999.

My old sliding glass patio door slides to the outside instead of the inside, which of coarse limits my extra security options. I’ve also read that they are easy to lift off the track and break into from the outside with this type of install. Is there a way to switch this around without too much troubleshooting? I’m an average handyman at best. Or should I think about a replacement? And if a replacement is the answer, what would be more secure: French or sliding patio door? Thanks

I’m looking for a standard 6ft. sliding patio door that is full vinyl (inside and outside) and has white shades (not blinds) inside the glass. I would like to save $$ and install myself.

My patio door is not sealing properly anymore. It is about 12 years old. The door is square but I believe the house has moved some which is causing gaps. What are my options for getting this fixed?
A) Should I replace the whole assy, door and jam included?
B) Should I replace the jam only?
C) Is there a way to take the molding off the jam and re-adjust the door assembly so that it is square again?
Thanks.
This is not a sliding door.

Just got a new patio sliding door and I noticed that there is gap which can allow insects to creep in. The other door is okay but the one where the screen is located is not tight. I could have sworn my older patio door (1980) was tight to the gliding track. I purchased a Perma-Shield Gliding door by Andersen. What can I use besides a cotton drafter to prevent insects from getting in?

I live in central Illinois. We need to replace our patio door.. the lock is broke, and it barely opens or closes. The wood trim on the outside is slightly rotted.. We’d like to completely replace it and have a vinyl trim for more maintenance free ease. What might labor on something like that cost?

My sliding patio door has a draft between the stationary portion and the sliding portion when it is closed. When it is windy snow and/or rain will come through this space as well. I tried some weather stripping, but because it slides the adhesive has worn off. Does anyone know of a solution, or a different type of weatherstripping made for this issue? I have had no luck at hardware stores.
