As the wind kicked and the
strange harmony peaked and fell,
I was keenly aware of what may
have happened not that long ago.

In the interest of providing a proper
"silent" environment, clumsy I might
have jumped off the couch to stop
the noise, hit my leg on the end table,
knocked over the candles, collided with
the chair, kicked someone resting quietly
on a backjack, tripped on the stair and
lunged for the patio door which would have
opened with the gale of the wind.

Then I might have heaved into the chimes
causing them to clank louder, and wrestled
them to the ground- times five, then traced
my disruptive steps back to the couch to
be left with It is absolutely impossible
to see a concept (such as "problem")
while inside the concept one is trying to see.
What Magical Illusions, had I kept the wind from?

Ok, this is going to sound stupid but I was playing around a broken table. (Basically if you move it a little the leg will fall off and the table will fall over)

So anyways I knocked the table over and it landed really hard on my arm (plus it is very heavy), and Im positive I broke my upper forearm area/ulna,radius. But the thing is my mom told me to not fool around with it, and if I tell her I will be in so much trouble. Ive knocked it over before, and bruised my shoulder, plus broken my collar bone. She grounded me for four weeks after I was healed, and it wasn’t pleasant.

So I plan on telling her this, and I want to know if it sounds plausible.

I was teasing my cat my opening and closing the patio door (heavy, sliding glass door with steal frame), but I kept my arm in the track/frame area to make sure that he wouldn’t be able to get through/get hurt when I close the door. So being stupid I didn’t move my arm fast enough and I slammed the patio door hard on my upper forearm.

Basically I felt something crack and it hurts a lot, so I need to get it checked out but if i tell her the truth she will be beyond mad at me.

So does the door excuse sound believable?
For your information I always play around, and tease my cat. (He loves going outside, and hates being denied)

Thanks for answering, and sorry for all the details. (Took forever to type :P )
Also I asked here because this is where all the best answers are. :)
I would tell her the truth, but if I do she won’t let me get a job later this summer, or hang out with friends.

Otherwise I would tell her. (This time last year I would have, but I can’t this year…..)

I bought a patio door set (each door is 46"x72") at auction. I didn’t realize until after the auction was over that the frame wasn’t included. Is there any way to build a custom frame? Any suggestions to where I could find materials for this?

My patio door lower track has a 6" worn area that allows the roll to get off of it. I have to lift the door a little bit to get it to open or close to get the rollers back on the track. Can I buy a 6 foot replacement track for a patio door?

I have a french patio door and need to know whether it is the kind where each rectangular window is its own pane of glass, or whether it is the kind where there is just one big pane of glass, and a wood grill sits on top of it.

When we woke up this morning, our patio door was open about a foot, but the back door to our porch was closed, so we think maybe the cat did it? There is not a lot of crime in our area, but we do have a few nice things and my significant other left the blinds open and lights on last night.

What is the best quality sliding patio door?

I have to replace an old sliding patio door. Would like to know what brand others have installed and are they satisfied with it.

I’m looking for a sliding glass patio door to replace mine. I would like it to have a little window or a little opening on the top half of the door, so that I can open the window to let fresh air in without having to open the whole door.
I have searched online, but have had no luck finding this so far.
Thank you.

I want to cut a hole in the wall and add a patio door. How much would a contractor charge for this? is this a 1Kish or 10Kish job?

I am considering having my patio door replaced and the opening is roughly 72 by 80. The home was built in 1999.

My old sliding glass patio door slides to the outside instead of the inside, which of coarse limits my extra security options. I’ve also read that they are easy to lift off the track and break into from the outside with this type of install. Is there a way to switch this around without too much troubleshooting? I’m an average handyman at best. Or should I think about a replacement? And if a replacement is the answer, what would be more secure: French or sliding patio door? Thanks

I’m looking for a standard 6ft. sliding patio door that is full vinyl (inside and outside) and has white shades (not blinds) inside the glass. I would like to save $$ and install myself.

How should I fix my patio door?

My patio door is not sealing properly anymore. It is about 12 years old. The door is square but I believe the house has moved some which is causing gaps. What are my options for getting this fixed?

A) Should I replace the whole assy, door and jam included?
B) Should I replace the jam only?
C) Is there a way to take the molding off the jam and re-adjust the door assembly so that it is square again?

Thanks.
This is not a sliding door.

Just got a new patio sliding door and I noticed that there is gap which can allow insects to creep in. The other door is okay but the one where the screen is located is not tight. I could have sworn my older patio door (1980) was tight to the gliding track. I purchased a Perma-Shield Gliding door by Andersen. What can I use besides a cotton drafter to prevent insects from getting in?

Can you install a dog door in a sliding patio door?

we have a sliding patio door without a screen is it possible to put a dog door in it somehow?
