We both live in townhouses with neighbouring patios. I have a big tree and I had already cut all major branches extending into her patio area. Now after the summer time, some newly grown small branches went into her area again, and she’s asking me to trim them again. I really like the trees since they make the house more like a home. Can I just reject her request? I heard in a radio program that people have no right to ask neighbours to cut or trim trees into their patios, but they have the right to cut those branches at their own cost. Is it true?
Thank you!

I have recently built an outdoor patio made of wood. I am now trying to figure out what kind of paint is appropriate for my patio. Are there different kinds of paints I can use, or is there a certain one for wood patios? Like Solid Colors, Semi-Tranparents, Toners, and Clears.
And is there a difference in paints for a deck and paints for a patio? Or are they the same?
And yes, I’d like something that leaves the natural wood grain and color.

I have two new neighbors who recently moved into the apartment below me. Our patios are stacked on top of each other. I have no problem with them actually smoking, but when they smoke outside, it drifts up through my patio and into my open window. THey keep their patio door shut to keep smoke from getting into their house, yet it all comes into mine. They are nice people, and I don’t want to start some sort of feud. How do I approach them about not smoking outside . . . I mean its outside?

I am trying to figure out what these lights are called. I know they were used alot in the past to light up car lots and as christmas lights in the 50′s. I still see them today in outdoor restaurant patios and at firework stands. They are full size light bulbs on a string. I would like to purchase some for my outdoor patio but I cant find where they are sold.
