I have beginning band and I want something that isn’t too big or hard to play, but can still sound nice. I can pick from these intruments:
Woodwinds:
Flute
Clarinet-E flat, Bass
Bassoon
Oboe
Saxophone-Alto, Tenor
Piccolo
Brass:
Trumpet
French Horn
Trombone
Tuba
Percussion:
Timpani/kettledrums, xylophone, vibraphone, glockenspiel, chimes, snare drum, bass drum
I don’t plan on playing percussion..unless there’s a really good reason for me to. I’m thinking about the flute or the clarinet, but not sure. I don’t really have a preference of one instrument over the others.

I would like to film a tree as it moves in the wind, feed the video into software, and then do something to attribute sounds and instruments to the movements of the tree’s elements to hear what it would sound like.
Say, you would electronically "attach" different bells to certain leaves, a running percussion to the stem, etc.
Is there any software out there which lets you do this? I know it works in reverse with music which gets visualized as a picture.
Thanks.
