I have heard that the vibration can be felt by the snake and he’ll keep away from it. I also heard that wind turbines cause a great deal of vibration on the ground and the snakes will move out of the area because they feel the vibration through the ground. Bats don’t like it either, so I’ve heard.
Any truth in this?

I saw a long but thin worm like thing in my garden. It had a flat, mushroom shaped black head that it seems to pull itself with. It was very sticky, and moved like a snake. Does anyone know what it would be? im curious.

I live in Kansas, outside of Kansas City, in town but have an undeveloped field right behind our lot. No water around. The snake was probably about a foot long or so, didn’t get a great look, took off running instead. Looked at pictures of whip snakes, don’t think that was what it was.
