In written sheet music sometimes I see an italicized l.v. (that’s a lowercase L). What does it mean? It’s on wind chimes, synthesizer, harp, piano, etc.

So I am looking for suggestions for a good company name so I can place them on business cards.

My mom has wind chimes hanging on half her yard and bird feeders on the other half. She insist the wind chimes will keep bears away. I tend to think that it’s more likely to attract bears because they are curious and for the most part fearless. So what do you think will the wind chimes keep the bears away or draw them closer?

When I went out to my car I discovered something strange in the glove box. It looked like a knife, but there were other things attached to it as well. One of the attachments looked like a change dispenser and another one looked like a harmonica. There is a noise that is always coming from it that sounds like wind chimes, and there is a small mist that comes out of the handle that smells like ginger and ice. What is this thing? Should I keep it or get rid of it?

I don’t hoard junk. I collect lots of things that truly do interest me, and things that I enjoy in one way or another, as do many other so-called "hoarders". I love wind chimes, for example, and have a bunch of them. I also love books about various subjects (all of which I read). And I adore "nick nacks" that light up, make noises, and do other things. I’m a movie "nut"…. I have many DVDs and VHS tapes, and I look forward to watching as many of them as I can when I have free time. I still have lots of childhood toys, photos, clothing, and so forth, and I’m overjoyed each time I dump it all out and reminisce as I look through all my "treasures".

How can this be an illness? Why do people refer to it as such? As I said, I don’t hoard junk. How can the things I have mean that I’m ill if I’m happy and if my home is clean and organized?
No, no, no…. I really do have a clean and organized home. There is plenty of space, as I am constantly re-organizing. I always dust, sweep, and blah blah blah…. Hell, I’m often cleaning while on line (since I have a hand-held computer– clean a little, type a little… LOL).

i have a gazebo. and birds tend to poop all over the furniture. and it takes forever to wash it off. we have tried wind chimes and foil things. but it doesnt work. any suggesios are greatly appreciated! (:

My mom has lived in the same house for over 20 years. Recently someone moved into the house next door. He’s a younger guy who apparently stays up late and we’ve had issues with noise coming from his place early into the morning. His mom comes by alot and recently asked us to remove wind chimes that according to her,"do not let her son sleep during the day." She recently called the cops to have them speak to my mom about the issue. When he moved in, they were very visible, but not until we had to call the cops for his disrupting my mom’s sleep during one of his parties did this become an issue. My mom is ill and needs her sleep, my sis lives with her and has to wake up early in the morning, so she needs her sleep as well. But when we explained this to the cops, they said the neighbor’s mom had a real issue with the chimes keeping her son up, she doesn’t even live there. It doesn’t seem right that the cops ignored the fact that his antics keep adult people up during the evening into the morning and yet seem to be catering to this guy’s mom’s wishes while her precious angel sleeps away his hangover. So who is right here??
