Where is the best place to host a wedding/reception?

I am getting married March 4, 2011 in Atlanta, Ga. I have a budget of 7,500 minus attire. I am hoping to have minimal food and drinks. More of a fun coctail party rather than a sit down dinner reception. I would love to be married in a garden or some type of outdoor setting where little decor is needed. I am looking for a ball room thats intamate for 25-50 guests. I want a place that allows outside decor and catering/drinks.

I don’t know about Atlanta, but Kansas City has some large mansions for rent. They make for a beautiful reception, and are not always priced that bad. My friend was able to use the inside of the house for the reception and had the wedding outside in the garden.
